i know grapes and raisins should be avoided and have heard that other fruits should be avoided as it can make the wee acidic. Any plants that can be nibbled on are best moved too.. i have no houseplants now as i'm convinced that i was a house plant that killed Maggie She never went anywhere so if poisoned it was from home and it was the day after she died that we saw the plant had been nibble. the plant was a lucky Bamboo which turns out is part of the Lilly family and lillys are toxic to cats . I only left Mags for half an hour while i went to get the kids from school and when i came back she was panting on the floor, she'd been sick and had messed herself as she lay there.. I phoned the vet and got an emergency appointment but 5 mins or so later on the way to the vet she took her final breath when hubs saw the nibbled plant he checked online some places say it's toxic others say it's not but i'm convinced that was the culprit .. When i saw Maggie she was wide eyed, looked frightened, was convulsing and foaming at the mouth, her tail was all puffed up to.. The look of fear was something i hope i never see again When she did pass though i had was stroking her telling her she was loved and she did not look frightened .. maybe pear is OK but you need to check 110% about that

I found this link but I'm sure there are better ones out there: cats.about.com/cs/catfood/a/humanfood.htmHarry loves chocolate so we can't have any in the house now as he will not leave you alone if he catches a whiff of it but it did mean that he got a lot of exercise over xmas chasing quality street wrappers....

Awww poor Maggie - and you too! What a nightmare to have to go through I did have a few houseplants when I first got the kittens but after Merlin decided that climbing up onto the windowsill and pushing the plants off was just THE most fabulous game I gave them away to my neighbour Best to be safe every time

HA HA HA HA HA Oh good grief, i've had such a good laugh at the latest pictures! LOL
Especially the ones with the clothes horse because my Jack climbs mine as well like that.
The stretchy kitten, the chewed pear HA HA HA HA, and the hammocks Neil makes for them.......CLASS!!! ;D
That one of the two of them watching the pc is so precious!
Keep them coming!! ;D
* As for the pears being safe to eat, that amount i would say would be fine, unlike dogs who don't know when to stop, that's when you would have a problem. Sophie loves lapping up the melon juice at the bottom of the carton ;D
